Standard

The night went on.

In the absence of family or friends Valery spoke politics with the other aristocrats. She held her head high and danced endless dances with the man who was very genatal, and swift with his words. He managed in one night to capture both her attention and heart.

She spoke of partings and a thanks to her guests. ‘……You are much appereciated. Until next time, I wish you well.’

They began swarming out of the mansion, some drunk and others sleepy. The masked man nodded to her at his exit…….

He returned to his living quarters swiftly.

Upon changing his attire, he ruffled his hair. Placing the mask in a locked drawer he heard his mistress call out his name.

‘Boris!’
