Friendship in the age of today

Standard

What makes a friend? A not so long time ago you could say a friend is someone who you hang out with everyday. But now, a ‘friend’ can mean anything. A friend could be someone who likes your posts. A friend can be someone who lives across the globe. A friend could be a stranger who you called by mistake. A friend can be a teacher.

But what is a true friend? A true friend is someone who has your back always. Someone who not only listens to you, but that you listen to as well. A friend is someone who you have shared tears with. Someone who knows your weak spots, but won’t let others hit them. A friend is someone who pulls you up after a fight. A friend is someone who you can call family. Someone you call in the early hours of the morning just to see how they are doing.
